## Client certificates

Some Gemini services may require the use of a “client certificate” in order to log-in. The telescope-identity utility can be used to create a new identity (that is, a client certificate)

> $ telescope-identity generate "Flan Hacker"

Then, a certificate may be be put in use with the ‘use-certificate’ command, which Telescope invokes automatically when the server explicitly requires a certificate.

These “identities” can be used permanently or just for the current session.
